“When my friends Robert and Tibs from @beni_rugs first hit me up about this project, it was just kind of obvious to me we had to shoot this on 4-perf, and Flavia was completely on-board to help make that happen with me. The story takes place in a kind of timeless alternate surreality and the aesthetic of 35mm felt like the right call. Some of the primary references we had tossed around were 60s and 70s art films from Mexico and Armenia, and so a part of this homage meant also shooting on celluloid.” Director @duncan on shooting OBSCURA for @colinking and @beni_rugs.
