almost one year since we started the redesign of the heart of our 2020 new build and expanded out to create our new breakfast nook. the spec kitchen was beautiful, but lacked warmth and character and had made our new build home feel too contemporary for us. our house was sitting on the market the first weeks of march 2020 (when houses used to sit on the market!) at the time we decided to get out of city living. social distancing was just put into place and no one was on the roads. we were the only ones looking at our at house at the time, and we got incredibly lucky! literal strike of luck and smart decision making against the odds of uncertainty during those first weeks of cvid. less than two weeks later we either would have paid well over asking or it would have been a lot harder finding our forever home. slowly we are warming it up here and softening the edges of our cute house in our dream neighborhood 🤎 dropped some before photos in here of the kitchen which we thankfully were able to sell to another family completely in tact, so we didn’t need to demo and did not end up in landfill!
