Are you grieving? In this yearly season where our feeds are filled with a sea of back-to-school posts of images full with kids in their new clothes (begrudgingly) posing to get that memorable “first day of school” shot, I want to take a moment to speak to the woman who sees this and is left with a grieving and broken heart. To the woman who wants kids but doesn’t have them. To the woman who wants MORE kids but can’t. To the woman who remembers taking those Polaroids with her older children who they are no longer in relationship with. To the woman who is reparenting herself (and learning how to be a parent to her own children) because she didn’t have a parent who cared about their back to school photos. To the one who might not see this at all because she is too heartbroken to open the app knowing what she’ll find. To the woman who is struggling in whatever form it might be, I’m thinking about you today! It can be hard! I see you and thank you for all the ways that you have been like a mother to others throughout your life. I’m sure there are many. ❤️
