100k Big Ultra Championship.- 🥇 4th OA What a race! I took the first lap very conservative so I could survive my 2nd lap. My sister @i_am_that_gabby was crewing me and we had it dialed in at each aid station. 2nd lap I picked up @fa5_jones who paced me for far longer than he should have 🤪😂. He also raced that morning and won his race. I knew I could do the last 5 on my own so I told him just get me to mile 59. I hit a low point at mile 40 something. My tummy was not being nice and I just couldn’t move very fast. I just had a pitty party and kept moving behind David. I cried a little and then sucked it up 😂. Hit the last aid station dropped David off. I start cruising a little and get a text that I need to put my foot on the gas. I tried picking it up some but my stomach wasn’t having it. So I turned through up 🤮 and asked my body to get moving. Well I definitely didn’t think I had it in me to crush 8-9min miles at that moment but I did. After the first mile I was like okkk can you do this for another. So another came and another. Rolled into the finish full of emotions and redemption from a bad 100k at bandera.
