If a man ejaculates irresponsibly and causes an unwanted pregnancy, he faces zero consequences. He can walk away at any time, and our current culture doesn’t do much, or anything, to discourage it. If a man walks away from an unwanted pregnancy, the sole financial and emotional responsibility of Plan B, abortion, adoption, and potentially pregnancy and raising a child, belongs to a woman unless she obtains a court order that requires the father to pay child support (often only obtained after paying to prove paternity, paying for a lawyer, and fighting for child support in court). Our society is set up to protect men from the consequences of their own actions. Our laws and policies could not be better designed to protect men who abandon the pregnancies they cause.
