WOW what a fantastic feat 🎉 Mark Johnston has become the first person in history to train 5,000 winners in Great Britain. On 23 May 1991, the Can Can Man won a seven-furlong handicap; 31 years later, and Johnston's illustrious association with the Goodwood has seen him awarded the Dick Hern Trophy as leading trainer across the season on multiple occasions.
