A Low but cute footage from my workshop in NYC... Phewww, (sorry will be a long caption but I have to.) I had to dance at the end for everyone who showed up and showed me support and love. 🥹 This was me trying to give back and hoping to inspire the room to keep pushing and trusting ourselves even though we don’t feel like it anymore, sometimes. It never gets any easier to do a solo in front of the class especially in a pump. Legs and toes were on fire 🥵 (no joke) after dancing 2hrs straight in it. I mean real talk. But I know how much I was inspired to see teachers “teaching the class” “showing students the real technique” “motivating each others by showing how much we love this” as an aspiring dancer and creative when I used to live in the city, growing. NYC made me who I am today and I am forever thankful I had learned and built my foundations here. My last class was in 2013 before moving to LA. I couldn’t expect what I would get after all those years but the energy in the class was something so beautiful and vibrant, it was so inspiring to me. Ugh my heart is/has been so full ever since. Thank you NYC for welcoming me back, now I know I have to come back more often to share more! 🫶 Honestly, I look a bit messy and exhausted but ppl who were there know how much I was FULL-OUT and PULLED UP the entire class, out of breath and about to pass out dancing and giving the energy back to you all... 😭 It’s challenging but this is my training as a teacher and a dancer to keep growing too. Never chase perfection, but growth. ☺️🌱✨ Anyhow, thanks to whoever read till this long. I have mad love for this city and I was so emotional watching the video so I had to. 🗽💘 Thank you @dtran126 for holding the light for me. Thank you @dancelai for capturing this moment.
