UNPOSTED ARCHIVE 002 “MEMORIES OF HOME” – EDITORIAL LOOK BOOK - MAY 26TH 2024 February 2024 – Amina and Tauras had been working hand in hand on crafting the overall narrative and the actual development of Amina’s 3rd year collection when they asked if I’d like to take over the art direction and shoot it. I was thrilled by the idea of working on a new project with Tauras, and fell in love with Amina’s story pretty much instantly. The collection entitled “Memories of Home” endeavors to create an open conversation between Amina, of the past, present, and perceivable future – a girl from Iran who left her country at a very young age, now holding fading memories of what was once called home. These pivotal memories shaped the present her and laid the foundations of future her, who is trying to define who she really is and could be through reconciliation with her roots. This editorial was designed around “identity.” Losing it, faking it, hiding it, emphasizing it, caricaturing it, the journey of it, and hopefully finding it.
