Yesterday, alongside @anitadtiessen, Katrina Sale, @jogideon, Jill Huntley from @accenture and Baroness Anne Jenkin of Kennington, I spoke at the @ukhouseoflords for the launch of Youth Business International (YBI) and The Entrepreneurs Network @the_entrepreneurs_network report on Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs: What they think, how they work, and what sets them apart. I spoke about my story and journey as an entrepreneur, the mission of Violet Simon @violetsimonofficial, the importance of inclusive entrepreneurship and how it can be achieved particularly for young entrepreneurs. “Inclusive entrepreneurship is important because it helps the included entrepreneurs to realise their dreams of solving real problems for society. A good portion of the mental and physical effort that would otherwise be spent fighting against barriers would be focused on building a successful business.” - Sophia Ukor. “Young entrepreneurs are creating greener businesses, promoting more responsible working practices, and generating a significant boost to the UK economy, but only if they are given the right support to start up and grow their businesses.” The report outlines ways to take action to support young entrepreneurs (usually those under 35 years) and the next generation of entrepreneurs.
