“Iranians are a community in mourning.” - @taragrammy Today, as dawn broke over Iran, the brutal regime stole the lives of two more protesters: #MohammedMehdiKarami and #MohammedHosseini. Their crime? Protesting in support of the #womanlifefreedom movement and fighting for basic human rights. When the world is silent, we send a message to the Islamic Republic that they can keep killing innocent people for doing nothing more than protesting against injustice: PLEASE don’t let them get away with this. 💚🤍❤️🕊️ Since September 2022, the people of Iran have been leading a historic revolution to overthrow Iran’s brutal dictatorship. Iranians have been protesting in the streets with unfathomable bravery. In response, the regime has killed 500+ people, arrested 20,000+ more and have now turned to their last tool of repression: executions. This is the regime’s last ditch effort to save themselves and terrorize their own people into submission. But Iranians will not back down. It is up to us, the international community, to take a stand against these human rights abuses. Spreading awareness about what’s happening is how we hold this cruel regime accountable.
