#AA5342 Audio Recording Between Pilots and Air Traffic Controller On January 29, 2025, nearly a month after the Jeju Air incident in South Korea, an American Eagle CRJ700 collided mid-air with a UH-60 Black Hawk military helicopter. Flight AA5342 was en route from Wichita, Texas, to Washington, D.C., when it struck the U.S. Army Black Hawk during landing. Reports indicate that more than 67 lives were lost, making it the worst air disaster in the U.S. in the past 20 years. Here is the audio recording of communications between the CRJ700, the Black Hawk, and air traffic controllers. We strongly advise against drawing immediate conclusions as the investigation is still ongoing.
