🧠 Things Ive said in therapy sessions this week, and why they matter:
✨ “Given everything on your plate, it really sounds like you’re doing the best you can — and that is enough for right now.”
Sometimes we need to hear that surviving is a form of strength. You don’t need to hustle for worthiness. Doing your best is already enough.
✨ “Before we go any further, let’s take a moment to acknowledge where you are right now.”
You’ve made it to this moment, and that deserves recognition. Pausing to honor where you are now allows you to appreciate these moments and how far you’ve come. It’s a powerful act of self-compassion.
✨ “If I could wave a magic wand and give you exactly what you need, no limitations, what would that look like?”
This question invites clarity — not about what’s realistic, but about what your heart truly desires, without shame or boundaries.
✨ “This is your space. I’m your therapist — you don’t need to filter yourself here. Let’s just be real about what’s coming up for you.”
Therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be your full, unedited self. You don’t have to carry the burden of being ‘too much’ here.
✨ “It makes sense that you’d feel this way — nothing about that reaction is wrong.”
Your emotions have roots. When we understand them instead of judging them, we start to soften the shame they carry.
✨ “We don’t have to fix this all today. Let’s just take the next step.”
Progress doesn’t require perfection — just movement. Healing happens one manageable moment at a time.
🌿 These reminders come back to a core truth: you are allowed to take up space, feel what you feel, and move at your own pace. Healing doesn’t have to be rushed — it just has to be real.
