What happens when you get a former NBA All-Star, an innovative tech CEO, and a legendary coach in a room? At our 10th Annual Iron Sharpens Iron, we found out, and it happens to be magic. Blake Griffin, Dan Clancy, and Adam Krikorian joined us to share their incredible, candid perspectives on how the road to greatness matters more than the destination itself. Griffin spoke about the discipline of falling in love with the process of becoming great and what successful leadership looks like (hint: humility). Krikorian reminded us that true confidence comes when people are allowed to navigate the struggle on their own and what it takes to build trust brick by brick. Clancy challenged us to step outside the boxes others put us in, lean on our own values, and embrace uncertainty. A common thread amongst all three of these leaders: humility, servant leadership, and perhaps most importantly, perspective. Success is not the greatest thing one can accomplish in their lifetime nor your primarily legacy. But, while we are all on the journey to be great at whatever we do, we can strive to achieve excellence. Ten years in, Iron Sharpens Iron has become a tradition and a reminder that greatness is forged in community and that we are sharper when we sharpen one another
