It is with profound sadness that I say my father Tom Karnes passed away on Sunday morning 8/1/21 after a 2 year battle with cancer and a swift decline in the last month. He was never in pain. He was at peace with life, unafraid of death and ready to transition to his next adventure. He passed at home, peacefully, surrounded by family, on his own terms. I know everyone who knew him felt his warmth, compassion, light, love, and easy smile. He lived many lives in his 85 years on earth and felt fulfilled and grateful for everything in the end. For me, he was simply the absolute best father I could ever have hoped for. I never doubted for a moment the depth of his love for me or his unwavering support. His example of how to walk in this world is one that I will endeavor to embody everyday. He was my hero. I love you forever Dad! We will have a Zoom memorial for him sometime in the future.
