I don’t want to imagine a world without our beautiful coral reefs 😰 50% of coral reefs have already died and we have until 2050 to save what remains 🤯 Our reefs have been deteriorating & dying at an alarming rate due to rising water temperatures and other human and natural pressures. The health and biodiversity of our reef ecosystems assure a healthy ocean & marine life. A healthy ocean & marine life are vital for ALL life to thrive on earth 🐋🐠🐟🐬 It was an eye opening experience spending the day with @coralgardeners who launched into action after noticing their local reefs suffering from coral bleaching. They started restoring the reef using several methods to grow super corals before replanting them to create more resilient reef systems. We got to learn how they seed, clean, grow and multiply the corals in nurseries before replanting them. @coralgardeners aim set up reef restoration sites around the world and grow millions of corals 👏👏👏 You can get involved and do you part today (from anywhere in the world) by adopting some coral through their website.
