Three years ago I started looking for work. This city is full of insanely talented videographers and photographers — the competition is huge. And the only people who truly win here are the brave ones. The ones who aren’t afraid of being judged. The ones who aren’t afraid to make mistakes in English (when it’s not their native language). The ones who keep going anyway. This photoshoot was one of my first real moments of courage. I walked up and asked if we could shoot for my portfolio.
