So I did a thing....👩‍🎓I had my graduation ceremony on Wednesday! ⁣ ⁣ I just have about 2 more months left of rotations before I officially finish and take my board exam! ⁣ ⁣ This degree has so much meaning behind it. My parents brought me to America at the age of 5 leaving everything they knew behind in order to attain the American dream. From a young age, I worked hard to learn the language after a kid made fun of me in kindergarten for not speaking english. Now, I pride myself in how well I can speak. And I love when patients are shocked at how well I speak because I don’t look like your typical American lol. All thanks to the kid who made fun of me 😝⁣ ⁣ My father suffered from cancer when I was young and shortly after my mother suffered a heart attack. I basically grew up in hospitals and was always curious about medicine. Alhamdullilah they are doing well now! Not only that, but it was my parents' dream to see me in my white coat so mom and dad, I made it! This degree is for them.⁣ ⁣ This degree is for my husband who supported me from day 1. My rock, my world, my shoulder to lean on, my whole life. ⁣ ⁣ This degree is for my country, Algeria. My home. My heart. My pride. My joy. This is for my beautiful country that I will always proudly represent. ⁣ ⁣ Last but not least, this degree is for me. I deserve this. I worked tirelessly for this. I dreamed of this day for years!! There's finally light at the end of the tunnel! ⁣ ⁣ Xoxo, K! #graduation #graduate #pastudent #paschool #womeninmedicine #womeninstem #algeria #algerian #algeriaculture #algeria🇩🇿 #algerianstyle #algerianstyle #algerianculture #algeriangirl #caspa #medicine #graduationpictures #capandgown #algerianblogger #algerianculture
