Receiving rider of the year is surreal. It really means the world to me. I love snowboarding, and have since I was so little. I’ve been snowboarding for 25 years! This is the greatest achievement of my career, and I’m incredibly thankful. I’m grateful for my family always helping me get to the hill, and wherever else I needed to be. I’m grateful for anyone who’s been willing to point a camera my way, and pushed me to do better. I’m grateful to have made so many amazing friends who have showered me with love. I feel so lucky to have had support from a lot of great brands throughout the years. I know my situation is unique and I don’t take that for granted. I’m not oblivious to the fact that it takes so many people working hard to achieve this. Snowboarding is a community that thrives on collaboration. I am so fortunate to have been able to snowboard with, and work alongside so many talented people. Being exposed to such high levels of riding has shaped me into the snowboarder I am today. It was huge praise to see my name beside all the others. I love filming (and watching) video parts and to see everyone’s hard work be celebrated feels so special. Congrats to everyone!
