The power of cooperation.... Coming up on @bbcradio4 @bbcfoodprog an inspirational story of food, land & cooperation. From Benevento in the south of Italy the @landcoalition award winning co-op #lentamente is regenerating farms, saving villages from being abandoned, reviving vineyards, preventing the closure of bakeries and also changing lives. You can hear this 1st hand from Gedi, a former Somali pirate who was arrested in the Indian Ocean and served a prison sentence in Italy who settled in Benevento thanks to the Lentamente cooperative and is now helping to run the Co-op’s “social farm”.
