There's nothing as satisfying as a warm bowl of champorado 🇵🇭🍫🤎 (Filipino chocolate porridge). Here’s a quick recipe for chocolate indulgence!⁠ .⁠ There are multiple ways to prepare and serve champorado. 🥣 Most commonly, champorado is made with malagkit (sweet glutinous rice🍚) and tableya (grounded and fermented cacao beans in the form of a tablet🍫).⁠ .⁠ While Elijah was growing up in Alabama and Boston, his Mom would make champorado out of oatmeal and Nesquik since those were ingredients available to her. In our champorado recipe, we added gata **(coconut milk🥥) to enhance the creaminess, and substituted tableya **with unsweetened cocoa powder🍫.
