New project out with my loves @an_drew_moncrief @gucci @alexmalgouyres. Canadian artist Andrew Moncrief, now based in Berlin, questions masculinity and the representation of queer bodies in his surreal and powerful canvases inspired by existing images, reworked like collages where colors and shapes intermingle. For Numéro art, the artist created a fashion series and a film featuring five queer Berlin personalities wearing Gucci pieces and offering a diversity of approaches to masculinity. These images, in which bodies move in soft and sensual choreographies, served as the original material for the preparatory collages for the paintings presented in her first Parisian exhibition, starting June 22, 2022 at the Gucci Saint-Germain boutique.
