SAEMIDORI K1 / Organic Ceremonial Matcha 🌱
Did you know that, being an early-budding cultivar, Saemidori can be harvested 4 to 7 days earlier than the Yabukita cultivar? Besides that, it is a cross breed of Asatsuyu and Yabukita cultivars from 1969 to withstand frosts whilst retaining high yield quality.
Saemidori (さえみどり) means “clear green” in Japanese to mean that this cultivar produces a bright green liquor upon brewing.
Mellowness of toasted chestnut flavour in a medium bodied Saemidori K1 with moderate salty umami taste profile lingers even after you conclude your sips.
WHAT IS TEA CULTIVAR?
‘A tea plant varietal that is specially grown and bred by farmer to achieve certain characteristics.’
WHAT IS CEREMONIAL GRADE MATCHA?
‘Ceremonial Grade Matcha is a top-quality Matcha and often used in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.’
Don’t stop your track on the Matcha trail just yet as there are more flavours and mouthfeel to experience within the Single Cultivar Matcha Series.
