WHAT HAPPENED⬇️ This isn’t a story about “not being a professional.” It’s a story about having the skills… but not having the inner confidence to hold big money. A few years ago I had a $1000/day project. Small videos. Straightforward content. Technically, I could do it. But mentally — I wasn’t ready. I filmed a lot, but the footage wasn’t strong. Not because I lacked knowledge, but because I was scared of the rate, the expectations, the pressure.My skills were there. My inner foundation wasn’t. Today I look back and clearly see how much more I could’ve delivered. Better ideas, stronger direction, a confident creative vision. And that’s exactly why I’m sharing this. Because in our industry, technical skills are only half of the profession. The other half is your mindset — your ability to trust yourself, hold your price, and create from a grounded place. This project used to embarrass me. Now it reminds me of how much I’ve grown — as a creator, a director, and a businesswoman.
