for the first time all year ive taken 2 weeks off with my birthday as the excuse. my man and I have been adventuring in europe to close out summer 2022. decided to take a day trip to rome, italy today to see some sights and eat too much pizza, gelato, pasta and pastries with zero regret. though this trip is predominantly all about greece and the last many days (including my birthday) have been spent exploring athens and surrounding countryside with a highlight of renting a convertible and driving out to the mountainous delphi, the ancient ruins and scenery there is magic - I’d highly highly recommend it. greek islands are next with plenty of exploration, beach days and traditional greek food (surprisingly a lot of it is naturally plant based with emphasis on fresh, in-season local ingredients) thank you all again so so much for the birthday wishes, sending much love from the mediterranean
