I remember it vividly. It was my first time cycling around London. I’ve been wanting to do it ever since I learned that there are public bikes available here but I wasn’t used to the city so when a guy asked if I wanted to cycle, I said yes without even thinking about it. We cycled through Oxford circus and since it was nighttime & still at lockdown, streets were empty but lights were lit! It was simply beautiful & peaceful - probably one of my favourite nights in London. As we cycled back, I remember wishing something to myself. “Someday I’ll have my face seen in Oxford Circus.” Few months later, told the same guy - now my bf - as we were walking at Oxford circus, “you know what? Just wait till you see my face across oxford circus!” Now this and even more than I wished for!
