16,400 kilometers. That's the total distance our @Wildlife_Alliance's rangers patrol in a year. They seize far too many snares, which can kill nearly any animal, including young elephants. Sometimes, Wildlife Alliance rescues live animals; other times, they must tally the count of dead wildlife. ⁠ ⁠ On this #WorldRangerDay, we would like to commemorate and thank our #WildlifeAlliance Rangers for their commitment and sacrifices in protecting our common heritage.⁠ ⁠ The plants and animals of the Cardamom Forest have a fighting chance because of the invaluable work that you do.
