Let me tell you a few things about @sterlinglbs on his birthday 🎈 There’s a reason he’s every kid and toughest critic (hello mom!) favorite person. Sterling is genuinely kind, sensitive, smart, witty, curious and empathetic and anyone can sense that. Sterling teaches me every day what truly matters - he has taught me that what they say about you, says more about them than it does about you, and that’s changed my life. He also taught me that happiness is in the every day and shows me it in the way he lives - every day that we wordle and take walks together, have a laugh and some pizza, see friends and fall asleep on the couch watching bad tv is the best day, especially when we’re home. That the true human tragedy is wasting your days, months, years being too busy doing things you dislike and sacrificing relationships to accumulate things and having life pass you by. That you can actually have it all and it starts by doing what you love every day. He also tries to teach me the ways of the stock market but forgets he’s also the smartest person in most rooms but doesn’t give up, though I can get easily lost, and continues to patiently explain all the things. Sterling is convinced that Sourdough is his superfood and that Balenciaga is f*cking with all of us to see how far they can sell ugly shoes and trash bags and for how much. Convinced. He thinks leftovers are the best food and there is no such thing as over ordering at a restaurant. Being married to Sterling is having a true partner who shares every task and responsibility equally, who tells me he loves and is proud of me every day and does anything and everything in his power to make sure I reach my (our!) dreams and I hope I do the same in return. He is that friend to all and expects nothing in return. He has held my hand through every good and toughest moment in life and I’ll always do the same.
