We finally said a proper good bye to my Grandma Chatte yesterday. Evan C. Bergman (1936-2020) was a WILD CAT. An expert pianist, a proud winner of dinner table debates, a female truck driver, a mother of two, a cat mother of at least twenty two, a wife, a lover, a straight up FOX, an insatiable cursive writer, a respected copy writer, a letter sender, a walking wikipedia, a comic connoisseur, and a trailblazer for women throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. Her genius lives on within her family and every soul she touched along the way. Moments after we spread her ashes, a miraculous rainbow appeared above the church. If you look closely, there is a white presence flying up the streaks of color. I hope that’s you Grandma Chatte. Rest in Power.
