Oh haaayyy #MonsteraMonday
Cuz propagation journey was sparked through the travesty that was a pest infestation .... yas, dahling this green gurl was once infested with thrips ... wanted to share some of my fav insecticide concoctions:
🔴You betta neem, kween
Combats: aphids, beetles, leafhoppers, mites, mealybugs, caterpillars, scale, thrip, whiteflies
Neem oil is extracted from the seeds of neem trees and is a very popular natural insecticide, and the one that I use quite often. Mix two teaspoons of neem oil with a mild castile soap and shake it up with one quart of water. Spray right onto the areas of your green gurl that are infested. On occasions I’ll just spray this lil concoction onto the my green gurls for preventive measures
🔴A dish soap sish, dahling
Combats: aphids, beetles, whiteflies, mites
To make this lil concoction you’ll want to take one and one-half teaspoons of a mild liquid castile soap and mix it with with one quart of water, and spray that lil concoction right onto the infested areas of your green gurl
🔴A vegetable oil potion, hunny
Combats: aphids, beetles, whiteflies, thrip, mites
To make this mixture go into yo kitchen and grab one cup of vegetable oil. Mix it with one tablespoon of soap, and shake that mixture throughly, gurl. And when you are ready to use that mixture take two teaspoons of the oil/soap mixture and mix it with one quart of water. Shake that mixture up and spray it right onto the areas where those tragic lil pests are
🔴Pyrethrin those pests, gurl
Combats: aphids, leafhoppers, mealybugs, scale, spider mites, stink bugs, whiteflies, thrip
Pyrethrin is a compound that is extracted from the flowers of the Dalmatian chrysanthemum or Pyrethrum Daisy. While you can purchase a pre-made sish at your local plant shop, nursery or garden center you can also whip up your own lil batch of this spray. Wearing a mask and gloves grind up the dried flowers (Dalmatian chrysanthemum or Pyrethrum Daisy) to a powder. Mix a half cup up the powder with four cups of water, and add a few drops of mild castile soap. Spray this mixture onto the areas that are infected and the stems for preventative measures
