This was a box of matches from my first nightclub I owned. We used to give them away before the smoking ban. Suede was located on west 23st and lived during a glorious period of New York nightlife..It was a very meaningful time of my life and my first foray into real ownership. I have memories on top of memories of it but this is the only physical memento. I keep it in my desk as a nice little artifact from my own history, and reminder of an era of NYC nightlife that could never be duplicated. I’m sorry for those of you who missed it..
