What’s up friends! I don’t think i’ve ever gotten the chance to introduce myself, especially with so many new faces recently! My name is Marc Webster, I’m 24 years old and a fulltime travel filmmaker based in Alberta, Canada! I figured it was time to tell you guys my story of how I got into this world of photography and videography! My passion for cameras and shooting started over 7 years ago when my uncle gave me his old Nikon D90 DSLR after he upgraded cameras. It was the first DSLR to ever shoot HD video, but it was my baby and I shot everything with it for years! No childhood is complete without making GoPro videos with your friends, so I learned how to edit in FCPX so I could make trampoline flipping videos! They are still floating around my Youtube somewhere if you’re curious! While going to University for Industrial Design, I created editing tutorials and gained a decent following on Youtube. This passion for videography allowed me to start working with more brands to grow my portfolio. Its crazy how quickly a passion can turn into a full time career when you put in the hours! If you have a passion, I encourage you to find a way to make it your career. I don’t think there’s anything more rewarding than being self-employed. The freedom it allows for travel and adventures can’t be beat. Life definitely goes by way faster when you are enjoying every day of it! Thanks for reading if you made it this far!
