Here's why this was one of our favourite days during our time in El Nido, Palawan. We were recommended by our hosts @colibriscorner.elnido to hire a kayak from @dolarogbeachresort which faces the deceivingly near, Pinagbuyutan island. After about 45 minutes of hard paddling we had the surreal experience of coasting under the sheer jagged limestone cliffs that cover one side of the island. As we turned the corner we came across the most picturesque white sand beach with crystal clear waters, fringed by palms and tall green grass. Sitting on the beach it's difficult to believe you're not in a painting; surrounded by the plethora of green mountainous islands that make Palawan so special. If you kayak further around the other side of the island you'll find a colourful coral reef teeming with life. It is a little slice of heaven. We feel grateful to have experienced it and hope you can too.
