As one of my all time favorite destinations in mainland Europe, I was excited for the opportunity to return to the Swiss alps in early 2022 on an assignment for @breitling - having the unique pleasure of seeing the HQ and the truly impressive intricacy that goes into the creation of their watches. After exploring beautiful ice caves beneath a glacier at the base of the Matterhorn, I decided to head to a remote mountain hut for a little ski mountaineering with mission. I thought I understood the steepness of the Swiss alps until sitting at the top of a couloir we just ascended, knowing I was about to ski down near vertical terrain, slightly unsure of my skills but willing to risk it for the experience. It paid off - giving me a new perspective on the mountains I had captured as a younger photographer, respecting and understanding them a bit more. Thanks @nicholaswolken for the incredible day.
