The dreamy, fun dance scene was something I looked forward to filming and I saved it for the last setup of the production. At this point the entire cast and crew had gotten to know each other and had great chemistry so everyone looked forward to it as well. And the scene also required a full lighting and set design change so it made sense to film everything else before this. @thebutch_cassidy, @asher.kpx, and I worked together to create a basic dance choreography. I wanted this scene to be about two people coming together for the first time so the dancing should be natural and playful. We filmed the basic dance choreography a few times and then I let the actors improvise and have fun. I encouraged them to play off each other and the props, which led to the version you see in the film. I love music and it’s something that has always inspired me so I knew I wanted to have a music video feel to this scene. There were several music videos that inspired me for this scene including Rebecca Black’s “Girlfriend,” Kate Bush’s “Babooshka,” and Suki Waterhouse’s “Melrose Meltdown.” Director: Me Starring: @asher.kpx as Sebastian @thebutch_cassidy as Mistress Madonna @vikki.germano as Cynthia @juvenilewearspink as Nightclub Manager DP: @limingyang512 1st AC: @marissa.chabria Gaffer: @alejandrantorres Grip: @juvenilewearspink AD: @kendra.dlee Sound Mixer: Sujin Jung Production Design: @_thamer53 & @indi.65 Makeup: @m_eiei_l_kay HSS & Script Supervisor: Mia Mendoza Special Thanks: @allybergamin
