Just finished up 6 amazing weeks of facilitating workshops with my old school @tavistock_college❣️My school rugby coach & P.E. teacher - now principal Mr Forster & Head of Diversity Mr Hoskin - invited me back to be a bridge between the LGBTQIA+ students & the school to help plant seeds for how their gender neutral changing rooms & LGBTQIA+ safe space could take shape, ensuring the students’ wants & needs are taken in to consideration throughout. This is a first of its kind in the area of Devon I grew up in & I’m immensely proud of the school for doing this work and listening to what the students have been asking for. 🏫🌱⁣ ⁣ This was not a solo effort & wouldn’t have been possible without my own community & friends who also led sessions. Together we took the students on a journey of opening up, allowing them to feel safe enough to be vulnerable, helping them question how to make an inclusive space not exclusive, teaching them the importance of a safe space, breath-work techniques, as well as aiding them in how they want it to look & feel, & finally building a legacy to continue on themselves. ⁣ The most love and thanks to you @madcity_dispatch @nateagbetu @lauren_wilson_studio @danielarubino @rubinowilsonstudio 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️⁣ ⁣ This was without a doubt the most rewarding & wholesome thing I’ve ever participated in, & I feel both grateful & privileged to have been a part of it.
