I’m so proud to be part of Nigel Shafron’s new book, ‘The Well’. He’s been one of my absolute favourite photographers since the early nineties. His shoots always had such stories attached - in the first two slides here he documented Alessandro Michele’s first week at Gucci when he and his team did the men’s show in seven days flat- including reconstructing the set. When we sent him to Connecticut to photograph Stephanie Seymour he lost his passport and couldn’t get back to England. Kate Upton who had just exploded on to the scene with her glamour and curves was photographed with some very aged tortoises - Nigel always has logic to the most random ideas.
