If you’ve been to the shop, no doubt you have seen these now very large and blooming cactuses. A couple years ago, I had some crazy vision and went out gathering these vicious and unforgiving things and with tongs, a sharp knife and buckets I went gathering all over middle Tennessee. It wasn’t fun. if you walk just close to these pretty little terrors, I’m certain they shoot out little invisible thorns into your pants legs. Anyway, when I cut and planted these thorn covered wafers, I wore all over my body little tiny stingers. So bad it seemed i’d have to literally shave them off my arms and so bad they got in my mouth, dug in and under my tongue, caught in my teeth. They were downright viscous and very uncooperative to say the least. They put up quite the battle but worth every painful moment because I had a vision and nothing was going to stop me.
