The first 1-2 years as a new grad nurse are rough! Especially if you don’t have the innate skills to advocate for yourself like myself! New grad nurses, next time you don’t agree with how your treated during orientation be sure to voice your opinion! Request a different preceptor. Next time you wonder if things are being performed the proper way, question it!
