3 Tips for Getting Rid of a Pimple Fast:
1. Cold compress: this is so simple, but it works really well to reduce the inflammation, swelling and redness of pimples. You know the kind that hurt like a motha and look like a homing beacon?! Yah, ugh. Take a wash cloth and soak it in ice cold milk. Yes, milk. And then press it gently on your breakout. The lactic acid in the milk will hydrate, exfoliate the skin and soothe it. If you don’t have cow’s milk in the house (I get it, I’m an almond milk kinda girl too), you can use instead chamomile tea bags! Brew them, pop them in the fridge and use them as cold compresses. The chamomile reduces inflammation!
2. Acne serum: the @cocokind Acne Serum has been my go-to as of late. It’s so gentle as a spot treatment, and can be used all over. This is what I recommend for most people because it’s great for those with very sensitive skin. IF you’re dealing with hormonal acne and want something a bit stronger, I recommend @get_rael ’s 3-step acne system — it’s a Korean skincare brand that is formulated specially for hormonal skin issues.
3. Hydration: Skin needs to be properly hydration to function well/repair itself!! I always recommend slugging when dealing with a breakout. The barrier is often compromised on skin that’s breaking out, so using an ointment locks moisture in, preventing TEWL, so skin can heal. I’m currently using the @cetaphilus Healing Ointment.
I pray to the skin gods that you get through the holidays without any breakouts! Also, if you have any questions about breakouts, acne skincare products, drop them down below! Happy to answer them in the comments!
