Wow. What a day. I can’t even begin to explain how humbled and honored I feel to have had the incredible opportunity to dance Stars and Stripes on the @metopera stage for #abtkids with a live orchestra. It was a surreal experience in absolutely every sense. Even the fact that we danced with the Don Quixote set literally from the first ballet I ever watched (Baryshnikov’s Don Q) is amazing for me to think about. I would be lying if I said I didn’t get a little choked up sitting backstage before going out. Thank you to everyone who guided me here to this moment. You know who you are. There’s plenty more work to be done but man... days like this don’t come around too often, so I guess you just gotta do your best to suck it all in and submerge yourself in the present moment.
