Third year student Laurenzo Paul @laurenzopaul from BA Textiles Embroidery Design talks about her synthesis work 🧵 ⁠ ⁠ “For my recent project Design Synthesis I was highly influenced by my exchanges with the sea. From beach combing to mud larking, I found beautiful treasures of broken ceramic plates, clay pipes and shells, influenced by the 18th century patterning and fragility in form to build my range of test samples. By creating my own clay beads, distressing my array of materials and combining it all with traditional embroidery stitches, I was able to produce a sense of chaotic calmness.” 🌊🐚⁠ ⁠ @laurenzotextiles⁠ #SWLCF
