One, Two Princes... 👠🔥 #iykyk That’s a wrap on @asianpersuasionfilm 🥹🎥 It took about 20 years, but I finally got the chance to work with an old friend and young legend from my days living in LA, @dantebasco on this #romcom Fun Fact: If you were a kid of the 90’s or the early aughts, you may know Dante from his dual (and duel) iconic roles of Lost Boy leader #rufio ⚔️ in the movie “Hook” opposite the great Robin Williams 🧚🏻 🏴‍☠️ and the voice of firebending Prince #Zuko in “Avatar: The Last Airbender” 👨‍🎤☄️ I love the serendipity that we finished five weeks of shooting with a mostly Asian cast and crew, all over New York City during #aapiheritagemonth ! The movie’s about a Filipino chef and coffee shop owner 🇵🇭(Basco), who’s getting a divorce from his designer wife (ethereal international star @kristinaconcepcion ) And in a night of revelry, he and his best friend (tall and underrated comic genius @kevin.kreider), create an online dating profile for his ex-wife... to find her a new husband and get out of paying alimony. They catfish and enlist a good on paper- though awkward- finance guy (🙋🏻‍♂️) and coach him through their dates. Hilarity ensues. I’m so incredibly proud to call everyone who worked on this film my colleagues and friends. There are too many pictures and praise to fit this post, so you’ve got more coming your way.
