On view in my show Shadow Detail @galeriechristophegaillard is my first attempt at collage. Visually it borrows from my 4x5 multi exposure works, which everyone mistakenly thinks is collage anyway. I cut up materials that take up space in my studio--test prints, backdrops, paper surfaces, props--which all go into the making of my photographs. To make the silhouettes, I traced my work prints. It's self-cannibalism? Or recycling? Also it’s very large. ✂️
