They say streetwear is a religion, and Peviani constantly sins. Four years ago, we released a film about his brand Georgio Peviani and Paris Fashion Week. Today, we hung out, guzzled green tea, and laughed over old stories. Like all of us, Adam, has had a strange few years. Yet his online sales and launches of new products (like this Georgio Peviani tracksuit) have kept things alive. It’s wild to think that this story about me, a moron, and his family business has been seen by around 90 million people today. Adam still gives me grief that friends and family from his original home of Zambia won’t stop bothering him about the film, and he is now officially known as ‘Georgio Peviani’ at his local mosque.
