First days of the exhibition of Cruz-Diez’s Chromosaturation (1965/2007) at @pamm ! This masterpiece was acquired for PAMM’s collection in 2020 with funds provided by Jorge M. Pérez, and thus crystallizing the long relationship between the artist and the city of Miami, where many of his artworks are installed in public spaces. Conceived in 1965, the Chromosaturation (1965/2007) synthesizes years of the artist’s pictorial investigations by transposing them into a three-dimensional space. By entering the environment and walking through the three chambers infused with intensely saturated red, green and blue, the visitors can reconsider their whole notion of color by generating a physical, material situation that takes place in space and time, devoid from form and unencumbered by cultural conventions of any kind.
