10 years ago, 6:26am #Nepal time 👑 i was blessed to be on the crown of the world and watch the #sunrise as it cracked through the curvature of #motherEarth while Miyolangsangma ~ the #Goddess of Inexhaustible Giving, who resides on #Chomolungma (otherwise known as #Everest) cradled me in all her glory!🙇🏾♀️😭Lot has changed in the #mountaineering scene in the last decade. Despite all the controversies, inequality & discrimination that maybe in the region, #climbing Chomolungma was one of the most spiritual & sacred #journeys of my life and will always remain so 🙏🏾❤️🏔 The journey was possible with the support from my friends from around the world, my teachers & family, those who provided the finances and the love of my countrypeople in #Bangladesh and my extended families in my second-home #Nepal. Special gratitude goes to my teachers who has shown me the ways to connect to Miyolangsangma and taught me the rituals & mantras to invoke a deeper connection with her, my entire #Sherpa family, Chris Klinke, Da Kusang Sherpa, Dagelje Sherpa who was my #basecamp manager, Navin Trital and ofcourse to my dearest dai Ngima G. Sherpa, who I climbed to the top with and is no longer with us on this dimension. We had so many obstacles on the way including our camp 3 getting destroyed by an avalanche during final rotation and having to go back to #basecamp to resupply at the last min during summit push. It was the second most deadliest season at that time, and I myself crossed over 7 dead bodies on my summit push alone- 5 of whom I knew personally. There’s so much more. For now I just wanted to send my gratitude to all who were always there and here’s to hopes that each of you who are reading this, are pursuing your own Everest (whatever that maybe) with utmost sincerity, reverence & humility✨I’d love to hear what that maybe, if you want to share in the comments below 👇🏾. Big 💗!
