You may take a step back, get told no, not know what’s next and still succeed. More than 2 million women have left the workforce due to the pandemic, many of whom are mothers of young kids. It’s driven female workforce participation to a 33-year low and placed one more outsized burden on women of color, who are facing more than 50% higher unemployment than white women. So while as women we have come a long way (👋 @vp), we’ve got work to do for the millions of us taking that step back. To mark this #iwd, I’m giving 100 minutes of my time to mentor two women who can benefit from support and guidance in returning to work. If that sounds like you, drop a note in comments below. I also nominate @kendrabrackenferguson and @katiewelch to donate their time and light help us reach #2millionmentorminutes. Want to join us in stopping the reversal of decades of progress for women in the workplace? (You know it.) Consider donating your own time or share this post.
