We are devastated and heartbroken by the violence that took place in Colorado Springs last night. What’s more, this tragedy occurred on the eve of Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day meant to honor the transgender people who have been lost to violence. MCA Denver condemns this unconscionable act and stands with the LGBTQ+ community, today and every day. We mourn the loss of five innocent lives. And we are holding the 25 injured as well as our friends and neighbors in the Colorado Springs and LGBTQ+ communities in our hearts.
