ALL of the whole chickens are now brought in on the day of slaughtering. That means all BDSM chickens are served within 5 days of the chickens meeting God (including a minimum two day marinade and one day for rigor mortis to kick in). The texture, flavor and even color is brought to a new level. I highly suggest checking Flushing Live Poultry out (or any of the fresh kill chicken places scattered around you). Their products are incredible. More importantly, you'll be forced to confront the death of your food. It's a very uncomfortable, but necessary, realization that the modernized meat industry has been helping us avoid. Knowing that a living animal died for your nourishment will help you respect the ingredients, appreciate life and know how blessed you are. We've not thrown out anything from these chickens.
