It took me 9 years to see my first tiger shark on Oahu. 9 years of working every other day on the water in Waianae until I finally saw my first in Pokai Bay. I jumped into the water fully clothed with my mask and camera; the guests thought I was absolutely crazy! The presence of apex predators signifies a healthy ecosystem, one that can support every level of the food chain, all the way to the top. Fortune smiled upon us when I joined my friend @nina for a morning on the sea recently.
